The first Calis Car boot sale of the winter season takes place this Sunday 25 September.
The popular monthly Sunday car boot sales organised by the Calis Children's Charity, which are now in their 5th year, were the first to be held in S.W. Turkey, are now famous throughout the area, attracting buyers and sellers from as far away as Marmaris, Kas and Kalkan. The sales are held in the car park next to the Bahar Hotel on Calis seafront.
The cost of a stall at the sale is 15TL (which includes two tables. while stocks last). The sale is from 8.00 to 2.00 pm with set up from 7.00 am. Sellers are asked not to set up before this time.
Not only are the sales a hunting ground for bargains and a great social event but they are also a great way of fundraising with many local charities taking stalls to raise money for their good causes. The organisers, the Calis Children's Charity better known as the 3C's, raises money to fund projects for local children from the sales of donated items on their committee stall and also from the stall fees charged (less the cost of table hire).
If anyone has any unwanted items to dispose of but does not wish to have a stall the 3C's would be very happy to take these off your hands and can collect them if required. Please e-mail me or ring 0536 373 9520. Donated goods can also be dropped off at the 3C's charity shop at the Eyna Restaurant on Calis seafront which is open Mondays and Fridays from 11.00-2.00 pm. Goods can also be left with the staff at the Eyna at any time that the shop is closed.
Dates
Sale dates for the winter car boot season have now been agreed with Fethiye Belediye and the Calis Association so make a note of these in your diary.
