Just wanted to share this as it might just help someone in a similar situation.
We do Annual Multi Trip Travel insurance (actually with "Insure & Go"

Like many, on here we have trips that we booked last year, before anyone had heard of Covid 19. As you know the Travel Insurance companies removed cover for Coronavirus around 13th March, so if you take out insurance after that date, or book a trip after that date then that risk is not covered.
We have trips booked last year, but due to be enjoyed later this year and our annual policy is now due to be renewed. I have just clarified with Insure & Go that the renewal counts a "continuous" cover and that Covid 19 is still covered for those trips booked last year but not yet taken. They confirmed that in writing.
Not all companies are the same and some will regard a renewal as a" new" policy, so worth checking carefully.
