Nuisance Calls, how to stop them.

We got one of  these B.T phones a few years ago now and we do not get any nuisance calls nowadays.
It is the best phone we every bought.  It even stops the calls from abroad.  However, you need to put a list of your friends and family in, so they get through right away.
I had this advert in an email this morning and note the price is now less than we paid when we bought ours from Tesco's.  It is a good idea to buy a set of them. 
I can thoroughly recommend this phone.

Hi Jacqui, totally agree we went from several a day and now zero. You don't need to pre program but callers will need to announce themselves and then if you press 2 they will get through direct from then on!

  I've just got home and found a two minute message on my machine off a lady from BT, trying to sell me

  a new phone that will stop er,---------- nuisance calls.!!  How ironic.    And only £ 95.   to stop her.

Register with TPS http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/number_type.html   
we have virtually no nuisance calls home or mobile, should the odd one slip through just say registered with TPS and the phone will go dead.

Unfortunately, TPS doesn't apply when the calls are made using pre recorded messages - this how so many marketing companies are managing to bypass the restrictions imposed by the TPS.

I have caller display. If I don't recognise the number, I don't answer. Simples!

We had been registered with TPS for years and still got calls, we did report them to TPS, but it seems they can do very little about them, also, TPS can to nothing about calls from abroad as there is no power for them to prosecute.
Caller display is good, but it still rings and disturbs you, with these B.T phones it does not even ring If it is a nuisance call, it goes straight to voice mail, at this point the nuisance caller ringers off, so, you never even hear it.

Get yourself one of these B.T phones Kevin.   Then you will have piece from nuisance calls.  We have never had one nuisance call since we installed these phones.
