  Kirk Douglas, celebrating his  99th birthday has stipulated no presents and has given £ 10 million to charity.

  He's a Real Star and a Screen Legend, and all these years on he leaves some of today's "celebs" in the shade.

Kirk Douglas, a great actor and a great man.   How luck is Michael to still have his father.
I have watched Spartacus so many times and love that film. Kirk Douglas was so handsome in it.   I can guarantee i always cry when Spartacus kills Antoninus to spare him from crucifixion.  Antoninus says as he is dying "I love you, Spartacus, as I loved my own father"and Spartacaus says "I love you, like my son that I wlll never see. Go to sleep"    This is my cue for the tissues.

I guess that for a lot of people Spartacus is their favourite Kirk Douglas film, but mine is Lonely Are The Brave.
