Long shot! Wanted...

Did anyone by any chance video tape the 2002 [or 2000] proms concert [JS Bach D minor Mass conducted by Hetherington] broadcast live from the Albert Hall by the BBC?

And do you still have that tape?

Come on, Proms? Bach?  its CBF you're talking about here!

Do you mean Mass in B Minor and would a digital copy suffice   ;)

Edit: Oops, read 2002 as 2012 - sorry, no copy available :(

Never judge a book by its cover John     :)

It's for my dad for his birthday after my mum taped "some rubbish" over it... Apparently audio only won't suffice he wants to be able to watch it too and it's definitely D minor and from back in the day when people still used video tapes!

I'm hoping to find it and have it put onto DVD.

Do you think the BBC archive would produce it just for me?

That's a no then  :(

Copies of BBC archive material

Unfortunately, it is not possible for BBC Archives to provide research or copies of BBC archive material for personal reuse. However, if you were involved in the production of a BBC programme (either as a performer or production staff), you may be able to obtain a copy of the programme via Contributor Access.

While Nichola is off discussing spelling and recordings with dad, how about the rest of us having a musical interlude.? When I first saw this post I thought it was going to be about Long Shot Kick The Bucket, a heavy heavy monster reggae sound from the late sixties by the Pioneers.  They also had a big hit in the 70s with Let your yeh be yeh.  So why not let them both be our musical inter-rude-boy...geddit?

This musical interlude has been brought to you by Golden Tickets Productions

Update, I'm now looking for someone that video taped back in 2000, Sir Roger Norrington conduct Bach’s B Minor Mass at the Royal Albert Hall to bring in the new millenium and would be prepared to help me get it put on DVD for my dad.

It's not available on YouTube and can't be bought from the BBC archive.

Thanks for help so far   :)
