Australian travel advise please.
« on: March 15, 2016, 13:57:30 PM »
My daughter has decided to travel for a year or so before she settles down. she is planning on going to Australia first and then going to Indonesia for a couple of weeks and then back to Oz.
Any advise on what vaccinations she will need please? Also if the GP does all the innoculations?
Thank you in anticipation.

 Mary
If your daughter hasn't already booked, if she is in education, student, graduate ect or can pass as one some travel agents
do flight packages for backpackers, gap year students ect really cheap. A few years ago my eldest daughter booked a series
of flights over a 12 month span. UK =Singapore=Indonesia=Oz=NZ=Oz=USA=UK and it was silly money, really cheap.and she
changed her plans to stay in OZ longer with no problems.

Thanks for the info Kev, I will pass it on to her, even tho she graduated in 2009. she is coming up for 30 so i dont think she'll get away with looking like a student.

Travel agents want to sell tickets, and there are thousands of mature students. Well worth looking into.     ;)  ;)        :)

You can join the National Union of Students (NUS) at any age. I was a member at the age of 47 whilst doing a part-time course and they've apparently got mature members who are in their 80s.

An NUS card will get you discounts in a huge number of shops and with travel companies throughout the world.
