Cliff Richard
« on: June 16, 2016, 10:59:54 AM »

The CPS has said Sir Cliff Richard is to face no further action due to insufficient evidence, following a South Yorkshire Police investigation.

So that's alright then ain't it, the police force can move on to their next BBC covered vindictive farce at our expense.  Total disgrace.

South Yorkshire Police force should be disbanded and merged into other forces that possess a bit more integrity. Its leaders should

be prosecuted for wasting Police time, wasting public funds, and dereliction of duty. Heads should roll.

Absolutely - agree fully. Guilty by TV until proven innocent is repulsive and the opposite of what is the law.

I'm no fan of Cliff but this should never happen. Paul Gambacini had similar - accusations, reputations dragged into the gutter and then everything dropped - no apology, no responsibility for anything

It's not all about celebrities either - it could happen to any of us. The famous just get their name tainted to a far bigger audience.

This is the same force that couldn't be arsed to protect 1,400 young white girls from Asian sexual predators, and the same

force that in recent years has spent £ 2.1 million on legal teams trying to pin something on the Hillsborough fans.

The Chief that  OK'd these payments, David Crompton, is currently suspended.. He and his team should be sacked and prosecuted.

Iv'e just watched an interview given by Cliff and some of the facts are starting to emerge. The original accusation was supposed to have
happened at a Billy Graham Crusade. A group of serving policemen attended the meeting voluntarily and were with Cliff the whole time
he was there, so knew the accusation was a lie and offered to make a sworn statement that would clear Cliff. West Yorkshire Police
refused to take the statement. !!. A second accusers complaint was passed to the CPS for consideration although the police knew he
had previously tried to blackmail Cliff for financial gain.!! All his personal items have still not been returned, including all the postcards
sent between him and his late mother, which he had kept, and a letter from Princess Diana. Why were items such as these taken.?
Other accusers claims were full of facts that could not have happened and the police knew that from an early stage but still proceeded.
It has cost him more than £ 1 million pounds to try and defend himself. West Yorkshire Police spent £ 800,000 of our money trying to
pin something on him.  Why did they do that.?  And when will THEY stand trial.?        >:(

You probably wont like this, but some "Important" people are above the law, MI5/6 have stepped in and cases have been dropped just like that. The police forces have no say once they are told by the top.
Look at Saville protected all his living days....by whom. That said I feel that the accused should be protected from press intrusion until the CPS feel there is a valid case (maybe even so far as the court case itself). I think its called a D A notice when there is a  complete press blackout.
