Comedian Caroline Aherne, who wrote and appeared in sitcom The Royle Family, has died at the age of 52

She was a brilliant actress, comedian and writer, who had suffered with cancer practically since birth. RIP Caroline

RIP Caroline.  Never her biggest fan, but enjoyed some of her stuff.  Another gone far too soon though.  :(

I just searched Youtube for that exact clip Alan - your Ali G's and others followed, but Caroline Aherne originated this type of spoofish chat show - probably the greatest unique comedy thinker of our age.
