Hi,
Can anyone give any idea of how much it would cost to have a bore hole drilled? Any contacts details or recommendations from anyone who has had this done recently? Thanks
-
We had a quote a couple of years ago and it was 7500TL. The price is determined by the depth. On top of that you have the price of the pump and the various connections.
In the end we had a well dug and it went down just short of 10 meters. It cost including all connections 3000 TL. Over 10 meters and you will need permission. You would have to stop work and apply for permission. The Zabita werevery hot on the digging of my well. In the end a friend had a word with the mayor and we did not see them again.

:o I paid less than 1500 Lira inc. all the bits, in Aug.2008, they went down 25 metres and had to do two holes as the first one which was 43 metres was dirty water.

I paid 800 lira in 2005, they went down 20 metres and left it in a big pile in the garden.

Sorry for being dumb :-\ :-\.... for what reason is a borehole needed?
Water ? what else is the need for one?.
Hubby not home from work yet so I have to ask CBF :-\ :-\.

Free water Jacx! a well in your garden supplies freshwater for your garden, pool, washing down etc and you can also have it plumbed into your house for various uses and can be quite drinkable.

Deep down thats what I thought it was Tinx (pardon the pun)but was embarresed to say so for fear of thinking I was correct yet dumb enough to ask....
Cant wait for the hubby to get in and tell him all about the boreholes on CBF.
I bet you have crystal clear water in the area that comes from yonder hills?... Lucky you.
in saying that our tap water in Midlothian is very good.

Free Water...I was told it was illegal water...that you are supposed to declare then get it at a cheaper rate?
Though who in their right mind would do that if you can get away with it for free[?]
I'm sure there is a long queue at the Feski Office for people wishing to register...the Turkish people pushing to the front in eagerness :P

840tl in 2007, for a 20 metre bore. Work done by Britannia Maintenance

Thanks for information!

Had mine done in 2010, 4500TL all in inc official registration in Mugla and connected to house supply, filters etc. Depth 54 meters and they even threw in a free skeleton they dug up!
-
so if all your water is supplied from the well do you not have any water bills what about sewage or is that in with council tax [?]
-
You will still pay sewage via the Council Tax but would have no Council water bill with well water used instead.
