We are thinking of getting our Residents Association registered with the authorities. Can anyone give an idea of the costs involved?

Expect to pay IRO 200 - 250tl in Notary fees, also, if any members of the committee are foreign nationals, they will have to have their passports translated at, currently, 78tl a pop.

Dependant on how far you take it, we paid 1000tl (including translation costs) for our solicitor to write our management plan & then there's deposits for re registering you electricity, if needs be.

Another 15tl or so for the necessary stationery ie decision book & receipt & payments books. You could also pay out for a ledger, though I use excel spreadsheets perfectly legally.

Add an extra payment - get Liz to do it for you, she knows it inside out  :)

(I bet she'll say no way, one complex is enough :D )
