No we are not near the front.  The issue was raised by our maintenance company.  If we contract them to maintain our complex, then it is the responsibility of the complex owners to ensure the H & S requirements are met.  Same as the UK

We have changed maintenance companies this year and the new guy does a couple of very big complexes but has not raised this with us ?

What p's me off about all this is that as an owner they want you to put non slip tape down and signs everywhere but you will walk past a hotel or villa with workmen hanging over a roof with flip flops on pulling an aircon unit up or climbing up a home made ladder and no one gives a second look. The authorities should focus on this aspect of lack of elfn safety first in my opinion.

Hi king frat and Ian who do you use for your maintenance contract is it lagoon

We are using someone different - I don't arrange it - but he appears to be a small business who is ambitious / growing - maybe cutting corners ?

Although having read all this thread - we do actually have non slip tile steps down into the pool and around the pool and sign with about 12 rules on them - so maybe we are close to being ok ?

Also I tend to think that Liz101 has summed it up accurately - having been through numerous legal turmoils over the years - as she often does

Hi Ian, I hope you are not using Elite Property Services.  We had a very bad experience with them last year.  They did not live up to their promise and caused is all sorts of problems, especially with the pool
