Electricity bill payment
« on: June 05, 2014, 10:28:27 AM »
We expect to have our first electricity bill to pay in July. Where do we pay it ?
Can it be done at the post office ?
Please note we are based in Uzumlu
Thanks

Hi you can set up to recieve an email of your lastest bill on the Aydem website and then you can make the payment from your Turkish bank which I have recently done and it is quite easy.

You will need the Abone number which you can find on the last bill along with the meter number which is also on the bill.

There is a recent thread on CBF that explains quite well the process but I have not been able to find the link for it.

This is what you get by email to make the payment and when you access your bank and select Aydem payment they know what you owe   :)

Have not tried from and English bank but I suspect that you would need the Aydem bank account details which I am not sure where you would get them from and unless you have an account in the UK that makes payments in TL I don't know how it would work.

I think you can pay using a UK card but do not know how you do this online.

Ok thanks tee. Just having a wander round the aydem site now, and can't make head nor tail of it. Will most likely grab hold of the bill when we arrive in July and start the process when we have some specifics in front of our eyes.

Suehugh I would use Google Translate if I were you and also you can select EN in the top right corner that gives you an English version although the Login screen will ask for an email and password once set up.

Google translate is really helpful you set up a user name and password from this link and if you translate the page.

Şifrenizi unuttuysanız tıklayın is become a member.

Hope this helps a little more. TeeTee

Hi TeeTee.
We did try to get the English version of the site, but after tapping hell out of EN, we gave up as nothing happened.
We will give it another go with the bill in hand when we arrive.
Thanks Eric, we were hoping we could just pay cash at the PO in the first instance, but we need to figure out how to use the web to pay remotely for future ones.

Hi Sue, we have an HSBC Turkish bank acc and we pay our electricity by Direct Debit. We are able to access our bank acc when we are in the UK so we know when Aydem have taken a payment.i hope this might be of help.

Thanks re HSBC. But Sue would never darken the door of any HSBC in reality or virtually.
