@trainer
I've priced it via Groupama [https://www.groupama.com.tr/homepage/] in readiness for Residence Permit and it seems quite reasonable. When I purchased my "natural disaster" or earthquake insurance through a broker, she was a bit more expensive for the same product I'd researched on Groupama; guessing she added her commission. Seems slightly better prices going direct via Groupama, at least for my earthquake insurance...guessing it would be the same for "foreigners'" health insurance.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

The whole health insurance issue seems to be a minefield. I think SGK is more than 300 lira per month. Some policies given just to get residency status can be cheap, but maybe won't cover for much, and I have heard don't cover anything in the first year. SGK doesn't cover certain conditions, usually chronic, but depends what they class as chronic. Why not ask the Inspector who is a member on here, has an office in Calis also. Only heard very complimentary remarks about him and his advice.

Sgk is 614 tl each  if you both receive pensions. 614

I believe that if you have a joint SGK policy and one of you starts to receive a state pension then the joint policy ends and you have to have two 'single' policies at TL614 each.

When we had SGK - we paid one premium as I was retired but my wife was only 54 - we would continue paying one premium until my dependent (my wife) had her state pension at age 67 and then she would have to pay - so double from that point. Extremely good deal for us.
