Favourite boxer, past or present and why? How would they compare to other boxers in their own weight category past or present.
My favourites..
Rocky Marciano
Joe Louis
Marvin Haglar
sugar ray Robinson
Sugar ray Leonard
Mike Tyson
Azuma Nelson
Jeff Fennik
To name a few but not particularly in that order.

Ali to win, he would duck and weave and wear tyson down, just like he did with Foreman.  Marciano???  before my time so will pass on that one.

Iv watched the foreman fight maybe 20 odd times and still its not even in my top 50 fights. Ali was king of hype and duped the world and really sold this fight. He was over weight and way past his best, but what an acheivement to beat Forman as he was an animal at the time. There have been many upsets in boxing over the years. The fight itself was not a classic, just the result was unexpected by all boxing pundits at the time. When foreman became the oldest heavyweight in history by beating Michael Moorer, again not exciting but made history. Marciano wouldnt make heavyweight these days but when Ali was smaller that would have been a classic.

I think Tyson  at his best would have beaten Ali.The reason is this Ali had his hardest fights against Joe Frazier .Remember joe broke his jaw.Tyson was a similer fighter to Frazier but a bigger puncher.I also think in his prime  Tyson threw more leather.

Ah but, Tyson beat Ali once 'cos he was over confident.  Ali then beat Frazier twice!
