Having spent the day cutting the garden down almost to the ground I'm now faced with a mountain of branches (mostly of the spikey variety), leaves and much detritus and the task of carting it 100 yards to the local collection point. I'd rather pay a couple of lads to do it for me so if you know of anyone who would like to earn some extra dosh for about 4 hours work then please let me know. What would be a fair rate of pay for this? - I was thinking of 100TL.

Four hours (hard) work, times two guys equals 100tl ÷ 8 per hour = 12.5tl per hour.
Even in Turkey that's a bit miserly.
Is it cotton or flax you're planning to grow once it's cleared?

Where would you like? I can put you up. How about a weekend in Clacton on Sea or Walton on the Naze. Could pick you up or drop you off! Not too far away. Jaywick is within a not too far radius. You could become famous! :D ;) ;)

My first ever boss used to live in Walton and my girlfriend’s man in Clacton. I don’t know anyone in Jaywick though :D

Scunner, I used to work for the Post Office in Bletchley and supplied in Newport Pagnell on occasions. Isn't that near your roots, and doesn't that make me famous by association, innit? Perhaps you used to visit to get your child allowance in a pushchair, I am sure I would have remembered! ;) ;)

Noticed the Council men collecting the prunings etc left by the bins in a dedicated wagon around Koca Calis this morning might be worth keeping an eye out for them for a few Liira they MAY be tempted to do a bit extra!
Iv'e often wondered why they don't have a shredder type wagon,sell the chippings as mulch

Do any of neighbours employ a gardner? If so, might be worth approaching them to see if they are interested in earning some extra money.

Scuns - just going to attempt crawling into bed. An 80tl hole was made in the Efes fund, I will just have to try harder tomorrow. God only knows how the half bottle of red squeezed on top of that lot :) :o
