I "got" the joke but I didn't think it was particularly funny or clever. It's just a play on word associations relevant to the catholic church.

I don't see what anyone's IQ has to do with this. IQ's are just one measure of someone intelligence and it is a flawed measure at that.

I was wondering why this topic became so unpleasant and I can only assume that the assumption that if you don't get it or find it is hilarious then you are some how stupid. That is not funny or nice.

Just my opinion as I personally find the forum a source of useful information which is the main reason it continues to exist with such a high membership and level of participation. I also personally have a few laughs  most days at some of the banter and discussions and have got to know a lot of very nice people through this forum.

Personally I would prefer jokes to be confined to the jokes section then I wouldn't have found myself reading  the content of this insidious topic.
