Rental permit
« on: March 01, 2024, 17:02:19 PM »
Anyone managed to obtain a short term rental permit yet?  Asking as the season starts soon and we have an apartment booked but not sure we'll be able to go as the owner is waiting for the permit. Thanks

You need a licence to rent and permits for guests. No one in the Fethiye area has one yet,we’ve had our application in around 6 weeks.Iam told on the one hand that letters are going out soon with property inspection dates prior to issue (or not) of licences and on the other it could be at least June before anyone gets a licence. We have cancelled our 2024 guests

Hi, any update on this topic? We are due to travel to Turkiye  in June and VRBO cannot give me any update on when they might receive their permit although they applied in January. I read on the web that the application process should take 3 months but it all sounds a bit vague at this point.

Thanks for any update you might be able to give

If you were registered to rent on the edevlet ,rented in 2023 and got your application in before 31 Jan 2024 you can rent until told otherwise.Once application submitted you must receive response within 3 months. We are still waiting and our application status is “processing”,we are 10 weeks in.

Thank you Steve A. I messaged the landlord yesterday on this and we have agreed that we will monitor up to the end of April and review then, he has had his application in since the beginning of January, But from what you say on your reply, if he was renting last year and is registered in the 'edevlet' and his application is in, it sounds as if it is OK to rent until otherwise told. Am I correct in assuming that?

Steve, this gives a bit of clarity to this issue, especially when the rules seem a bit vague Thanks for your replies.

Nearly 3 weeks since my last post, and the apartment contact, said yesterday that he expects things to move 'soon' but he is till advising me to decide on whether I cancel to get a full refund. Is there anyone else still in this situation? He told me that he made the initial application in January.

I read on the Ministry of Culture and Tourism website that -

"The Ministry ensures that the license issuance process concludes within 3 months of the application date"

We are due to travel to Turkey in less that 6 weeks, but we have until 30th May to get the full refund, so as they say, the clock is ticking.......

Any reassurance would be welcome

Thanks

Hi All

An update.

Been in conversation with the apartment today, and the reply was that they had been with the Tourism Ministry this morning at 8.30 and were told applications will take as long as they take and as a result they were cancelling all bookings  up to 31/8.

So I am looking for alternatives in Calis in June

Can't say I am not disappointed as  the Ministry said they would conclude the process within 3 months.

Oh well back to the search once we've had our refund.

We started our application in April this year and our license number came through yesterday.
I used Mustafa ( Inspector ) to help with my residency application and Short Term Letting License application and everything went very smoothly.

If any one is looking for accomodation, our villa is available for some dates ( 3 bed, private pool, max 6 people) ( June25-July 9, and September.

Villa is fully compliant with all regs and Police Registration
