After the first day its not looking too good for Europe.Cannot see Faldo's thinking at all with his team selections either for the second day.Why has he dropped Westwood and Garcia is puzzling.

Basically Faldo is a to**er who thinks he knows everything and will not take advice from anyone.

Other than that I like him 'cause he was born on the same day as me  :)

I'm not into golf at all, but have a bit of interest in the Ryder Cup, as it's just up the road from us!   :)

The Celtic Manor is a fantastic resort.  I was actually born there - it used to be a hospital (Lydia Beynon Maternity Hospital).  I think us babies that were born on the site should have been given VIP passes for the weekend!  :D

The weather is awful here today - what a shame for the players and spectators.

I almost swallowed by biscuit when I saw Faldo's name in the top post. Maybe we should start a 2010 thread?

 :)

I was listening earlier to the guy in the golf shop who sold 600 sets of waterproofs today to spectators-and to American team as they suffered a wardrobe malfunction when it became aparent that theirs weren't. Ooops

A friend of mine is marshalling there.  His latest update is that his skin is waterproof unlike the USA waterproof jackets.
