They're bred tough in Yorkshire
« on: August 16, 2009, 21:29:18 PM »
It's been quite a weekend for multi eventers born & bred in Yorkshire: yesterday Alistair Brownlee, from Leeds, tore the field apart at the world series triathlon in Hyde Park & over the past 2 days, Jessica Ennis, from Sheffield, has lead from start to finish in the heptathlon at the World Champs in Berlin.

Two fantastic achievements many congratulations to both ;)

Dare one also mention Yorkshires finest footy team, the mighty Whites? Two games, two wins!

Trouble is Jukey and Tan - this thread is about Yorkshire people and I don't think there are that many in out team at the moment.

Great results for the multi eventers though!!

Liz I have told you before the best thing to come out of Yorkshire (except my father) is the Dronfield bypass to you know where!! ( and you of course with food parcels to Gunlukbasi)  ;)
