The shirt was a present from my {English} daughters.

Good luck Colwyn.  :)

I think it will be a tight, brutal encounter which I fear England might just edge. Halfpenny is a huge loss.

I worry that you're right there, H. But then there is Welsh "hwyl" to be taken into account.

The winners will be the team on the most drugs, I have listened for years from the holier than though, about what a mans game Rugby is played by gentlemen.

H, I told you not to neglect the hwyl! What a win! With most of the team injured.

[I don't know what that K-mark is on. He may be an Ovaltine-drinking soccerite.]

I stand corrected (happily by the way).

A magnificent victory especially given the injuries.

But that's what it's about - putting your body on the line for your country. Glorious stuff.

Yes, Phil was cheering for Wales too and was very pleased with the victory.

I woke up this morning thinking "We did win didn't we?" as I still could hardly believe it. England were clearly the better side for three-quarters of the match; much better in the set pieces and doing well in the rolling mauls. And then Wales won the game. I don't really understand how that happened.

Scotland v USA
There was huge optimism about Scotland's potential in the World Cup in the TV lead-in to today's match. But at halftime it is Scotland 6 USA 13 and no-one can say that they don't deserve it. I hope for the Scot's sake that they can up their game in the second half, but they are taking huge hits from an American that is full of passion, confidence and exuberance.
