Shame that their first event is only 2 days after the Uzumlu Ladies Group Easter Cake and & Craft Fair, seems a little silly to hold 2 identical fund raising events so close together in a small community....but hey ho I'm sure some people will go to both.

Like a funquiz Monday night and a funquiz Tuesday night you mean?

Or a fun quiz Tuesday night, before a fun quiz on a Wednesday night, touché.

I'll assume then that you're an "Uzumlu Ladies Group Easter Cake and & Craft Fair" supporter...  or maybe I shouldn't get involved in these little disputes.

Wow!
It's going to be a busy time!

FIG craft fair 26th March, 3 c's coffee morning and fashion show on 28th, Uzumlu Ladies 29th, Animal aid eggstravaganza on 30th, Uzumlu Fair 31st and Kemer easter egg hunt on 1st April

Easter is a great opportunity and an excuse to get everyone together hopefully out in the sunshine and support all of the charities.
I'm just gutted Im not here for all of them.

Good luck everyone, I know there's a lot of hard work involved in putting on all of these events, I hope we all have successful days and raise loads of money for all the children and animals.

we have friends coming out in May who are keen to help support local Uzumlu events so hopefully their holiday will coincide with your May event. Do you need raffle prizes bringing out from UK, they will be happy to do this if asked.

There were some circumstances Ms. Drake .This was our first joint street fair with the Uzumlu School .. Our other craft fairs had been held inside the Winehouse for the last two years ... Yes there were some organisation  problems which will not happen again ..

Plus the Same day there were other events in Gocek & Hisaronu and later on we did hear in Koycegiz too.. Some of our stalls who booked , last min they changed their  minds and went to the Other events .. Plus some of our turkish laides stalls had been late because of the clocks going forward .. And they said it s late now no need to come ..  !!!

But still it was great to see lots of people who wanted to support Uzumlu Mid-School from all around Fethiye ... Great & busy afternoon  with the street musicians ... Next one will be full of stalls & many booked  & deposit paid already ...  it will be at the end of May ...

Thank you for coming  & supporting the event Ms. & Mr. Drake .

Regards .

]I came to the street fair on Sunday  to buy a picture that was being sold, that I had seen the previous day at the Uzumlu Ladies fair for which I hadn't taken enough money for, not to actually support  your goings on, and incedently I object to the Ms. title when I am a full blown Mrs.

Can I suggest if you can't use "reply with quote" then you don't? Just reply using the quick reply box below.

I must also say that anyone who objects to someone writing in a language that is not their own writing "Ms" instead of "Mrs" really needs to find something worthwhile to get irate about. Absolutely pathetic.

I have to say that I found the phrase "not to actually support  your goings on" very disparaging :(

Agreed, and the original post, while appearing to show interest,  was actually a fairly sneakily placed ambush as far as I can see.

I will never fathom the hate and back stabbing of the World's Us & Them capital (Uzumlu) but why can people just get on with what they do and leave others to do the same - especially when each party is helping causes less fortunate than themselves.

We really don't want the bad feeling that seems to dominate life in Uzumlu to find a home on CBF. Please, if anyone there has a problem with anyone else there, don't come here - go and knock on their door and tell them to their face.

This topic has gone from helping hands to something quite unsavoury. It is now locked and again I would ask people to take their vendettas to the people themselves, not to CBF.
