Ally,

My best advice on flights from Scotland honestly is, fly from Manchester.

Depends where you stay and how flexible you are on travel dates.
Problem is no one knows what the pricing format will be this year, last year there were a lot of cheap last minute flights available from Glasgow and Aberdeen which we managed to get.
Scunner is right about the Manchester ones, just a bit far for us to travel to, but not bad from the central belt.

Our daytime flights with Thomas Cook on 20th May were £212 each from Travel Republic. The price was going up and down daily and this was the lowest they'd been.

Compared to what they were. They haven't half gone up. We booked end of last year approx £160 each for 3 visits this year.

Aegean can be cheap early on but tends to get more expensive as time goes on

That was the point of my post, Anne. Ally didn't say what price they had found before asking about "cheap" flights so I posted an example.

Aegean are £ 799 from Glasgow:(
