Title: Here Come the Russians

A fleet of Russian warships are sailing around Europe to get to Syria (where they will doubtless cause mayhem). They have been refused refueling by Spain (where they usually stop off). What is the betting that, when they have finished their mission, some of the fleet will seek to sail up the Bosforus to winter in a Crimean port - what with Erdogan and Putin being such good chums these days? Will Istanbulites line the coast to wave their flags as the warships pass by?

Perhaps they'll run out of petrol somewhere around Gibraltar.

We can ask the Gibraltarians to shout anti - Putin slogans at them until Trump gets elected and declares war on them.

I mean - what else can we do?

Write a strongly worded letter of complain to The Times?

We sit and watch and wait, doing our incompetent and impotent best........

.....and, no. I have no solution to put forward, apart from the tried and tested ( and failed) sanctions.

Wait 'til Putin prgs out, I guess.
