Title: On Hats

One of the decrees issued by Ataturk in the early days of the republic banned the fez and instructed Turkish men to adopt European-style hats with a wide brim - an instruction I follow faithfully. However, some Turkish men ignore this instruction. This is sometimes unfortunate.
