       Over the years I have observed some food traders gathering up handfuls of used drinking straws, rinsing them under a tap or bowl of
                water  then standing them to dry, ready to re-use.   Just be careful.       ;)

Same with bottles of water. One of the biggest culprits for this was in Kaya. He and his staff used to hand out free bottles of water to tourists as they got off the dolmus outside his restaurant. They always opened them before handing them over so that nobody realised that the seal was already broken.
