The atm survey vehicle was stationed outside cafe pazar some months ago,for about seven days.I dont think the result was positive. There are two more atms recently installed close to the court house.I dont think there is any probs with the machines, but there has been a couple of scams with guys at the machines in the last few months but nothing recently. The only prob I have found is the HSBC atm on the canal bridge near the taxi boats. This is I think due to the fact the kiosk is facing the sun all day,so the screen is slow to react to touch screen instructions due to the heat etc and difficult to see etc.Plus they are slow to refill it after a weekend.

Seems that the theiving gits have moved on to Hisaronu for the moment but I would recommend being vigilant at all times using the ATM's

Yes, we found this out a few weeks ago.  Were going to withdraw sterling and change it there for the better rate like we've done before, but was only given the choice of lira or euros. Chose lira, fortunately it was with a Nationwide Flexaccount card so got a decent rate when it was converted.
