Going to Lara this Xmas for a week, staying at the Rixos. The bowls club members from Calis will also be there. Have stayed at a few hotels there, if anyone wouls like info drop me a line

we did two new years in calis and it was freezing at night time
went to the canaries just needed a light jumper in the evening
but just seems very expensive this year so for not a lot more (or so I told the wife)
it's off to Bangkok   ;D ;D
