I think it's very serious stuff. Once Turkey's reputation for cheap booze disappears, tourism figures will be severely hit in all areas. A 25% increase in booze prices will also cause a large hike in All Inclusive prices and maybe hit areas like Belek hard. You can get all inclusive cheaper in Spain, Greece, Tunisia, Egypt and Portugal (and others, it's a competitive market) and the beer and spirits are often cheaper in those places ALREADY...
Coupled with some of the costliest flights in Europe from the UK, things really don't look good for Turkey. Expensive to get to, expensive when you get there. Not the Turkey I discovered...
