Akyaka - any tips
« on: December 13, 2012, 18:48:07 PM »
We are taking a spontaneous trip to Akyaka tomorrow for two days and would appreciate any tips. I know some of you have been here and I have passed through but not spent any time there.

Accommodation recommendations not required but places to visit and a nice restaurant would be great.

Has anyone eaten at the Halil in Yeri which looks lovely alongside a creek/river.

Like many places in the south fewer places are open in the winter and some according to what custom they expect - Halil'in Yeri is good.
There is another one more inland along the Azmak which is getting good reviews.
The two konak hotels have good food and at least one has regular music evenings.
Day time gozleme and busy on Sundays is the place in Akcapinar and there are a couple of Kebab places up the road in Kizilyaka.

Try to find the arts centre and a bit further away try to find the Kerimoglu Kahve - there are great back roads to get there!
