Anyone that lives south of Thelwall Viaduct is a Southerner to most Northerners.

I think people from Leicester are midlanders and people from Nottingham are northerners. So there is my line.

Very very rarely do you hear southern accents from the majority of visitors around Hisaronu during the season.. also the gangs of girls parading down bar street at night are always  northerners      On our complex of ten we have, one swede, three brummies (including midlands) two northerners, four southerners ( me included )
