Self catering or occasionally AI. B&B also. Would not book half or full board, don't think I ever have in fact.

Half board on my ski holiday, because I'm often too exhausted after a day on the slopes, to go out hunting for a nice restaurant. B&B in Calis, but would really like to rent an apartment for the freedom of choice. Just find the cost so much more than B&B in a hotel. I'm a miserable git really!

Always used to go self catering or B & B before getting our own place.
I dont like full board because I like the variation of going out to different restaurants and have never been AI.

definitely self catering in Calis.  there are too many good restaurants which you would miss out on if you were AI.   :)

people we have spoken to who are on an AI basis rarely leave the hotel/complex, and see very little of the area, not even bothering with boat trips, sight seeing etc.  :(

Self catering seems to make more sense as AI puts nothing into the local economy
