Also saw this on FB, no idea if it works but it's simpler than the bottles!

Have a mosquito problem??? At your next outdoor gathering try this SAFE and EFFECTIVE method of keeping mosquitoes at bay! Simply slice a lime in half and press in a good amount of cloves for an ALL NATURAL mosquito repellent...

I tried that once Supercabby only I used lemons, hung on the bedstead, I don't know if it worked or not as we definitely weren't bitten  but I forgot the next time we were there and we weren't bitten that time! Worth a try folks.

Problem is that you can't get many limes here and when you can they are super expensive and I wouldn't waste them on catching mossies... 8)
