Efes shut down...
« on: June 13, 2013, 12:43:22 PM »
A message from Efes on their web site

“You cannot see the website you are trying to open. Our website was blocked according to Law No. 6487 published in the Official Gazette on June 11, 2013, which says ‘commercials for alcoholic beverages are forbidden for any reasons.’ But, even if we do not see, we recognize, we know,” the message read.

Whoops, I misread it, I thought it said. I wish I could say that 'This is a surprise'. Where did that come from? Punctuation makes all the difference.

Efes should rebrand their lager as 'Erdogan' ....... all those posters and parasols would be exempt from any restrictive laws.
