Read the comments under the Mail article.  People blaming Turkey,as if there is no crime in the U.K.

The Mail does seem to have it in for Turkey.  I don't actually read it but I've seen articles like that before posted on here and facebook.

Comments are made by ignorant people. I felt safer in Turkey than I have in other holiday spots such as Spain or USA!

Grateful I live in England. After ACTUAL Death Threats, the Met.Police would NOT have allowed this tragedy. RIP.

A murder is committed by a criminal out on bail every ten days, new statistics have revealed.

On average, three offenders per month were convicted of murder while already on bail for another crime last year.

Nearly 40 criminals were found guilty of killing a member of the public while still at large in 2011, with 436 murders over the past 12 years being committed by someone on bail.

In relation to the contents of Scunners last post I fail to understand where these people come from, I suspect a Martian would have a more balanced view of our world and the people in it  :(

On a slightly different note I heard on the BBC this morning that the Fethiye area which has 2 million visitors a year will be hoping that this incident does not affect the area!!

Well if the area got 2 million visitors a year you would not be able to move and the price of Efes would be higher than it is   ;)  ;)

Not British of course but total international arrivals do exceed 2 million.

As for the people who thought educated enough to make public comment at the Daily Mail website, I think they must picture Turkey in their mind as something like Afghanistan or Iraq. At times like that it is best to keep your thoughts to yourself and not confirm your ignorance!
