Am I missing something or is the AKP vote up across the country from the 2009 elections - 39% in 2009 and currently running at 43% ?

Saatci hands down

AKP 27% though - in one of their weakest areas? Scary stuff.

It looks to me that all the mud slinging by the opposition parties (not referring to Fethiye) has meant that they forgot to actually make their case as to exactly what they stood for / would do / policies etc.

Consequently - better the party you know ......

He looks more bomb proof than ever after this?

Yes Ian, that's how I read it too.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago - here we have a country where (and I forget exactly) 40% of AKP voters believe they are corrupt but will still vote for them...

Closest run region nearest to us in Fethiye is Antalya - only 1% between CHP (leading) and AKP.

Oh and Seydikemer appears to be an easy victory for AKP
