Why do the British press just put "Turkey" this country is a big place and it's like a Turkish newspaper putting Turkish man stabbed in Great Britain.
I had to Google the hospital to see it was Marmaris.   However, we know the guy who was stabbed comes from Kennoway in Scotland.

Seems like the whole incident got completely out of hand and a young person with previously diagnosed mental problems got involved.

It says it was Marmaris in the Mirror story.

Why do the British press just put "Turkey"

For exactly the same reason that Turkish papers wouldn't put "Kennoway". Nobody would have any idea of where they were talking about.

We searched our copy of the Sunday Mirror as we wanted to know where it was there was  no mention of Marmaris in our addition..  The difference here KKOB is Marmaris is famous and everyone in the U.K. would know where it is.   It is very unlikely that a crime in Kennoway, Fife would be reported in a Turkish Newspaper.

Jacqui, If a Turk had been stabbed in Kennoway the Turkish press would have said "Turk stabbed in Scotland" or "Turk stabbed in UK".

Believe me, there are millions of people who have absolutely no idea where Marmaris is. It's famous, granted, but only to those that know it.  ;)
