1st round of the Turkish Presidential elections this Sunday!

I seem to remember that the president had the power to force the PM to resign and this in turn would force the ruling party to reappoint another.
I think it happened in previous years when Turkey had a female PM.
Or am I talking through my flip flops

The President can ask the PM to resign but if s/he says no then it will be voted on by members of parliament. So Doğan says, so don't worry, if you talking through your flip flops so is he

I've just seen some early results and I don't think this one is going to a second ballot (be absolutely delighted to be proved wrong though!).  What a waste of paper that was, printing off all of those extra ballot papers.  Think how many trees died screaming in agony just so the AK party had a few million votes in reserve.
