I don't know where to start.
Many members will recall a recent thread where someone requested help in getting something out to her mum in Fethiye that was urgently needed.
I am sure you will further recall the post "Sorry, but need to report these goings on..Noted; some of your registered users, asking to send items third party is somewhat dubious I think,(historical requests noted) asking persons or persons unknown to take unidentified items out of the country! Scunner you have a UK registered site"
What a coincidence that an email has been sent to Rimms (George - who magnificently negotiated the Excel Airways/CBF £10 discount code) this morning from Martin Lock, the Managing Director of Excel, and good buddy of CBF - I can't quote it word for word because of board policy but this is the main part:
"We have just been advised that some people on the Calis Beach website are asked to bring other peoples belongings and baggage back from the resort to the UK.
I would be grateful if you could clarify this."
We now run the risk of losing our special discount with XL, I have never used XL but MANY CBF members and viewers have saved thousands of pounds doing so.
I am stunned that someone would jeopardise such a mutually beneficial agreement for such selfish reasons.
-
If it is because of who we all will assume it is, then his non de plume is far to mild, I could think of loads better descriptions.

The title of the topic says it all
-
:( What a petty minded mischief maker (whoever it was) :(
I hope it doesn't affect the benefit, so many members receive from the Excel discount : :) it really beggars belief, that anybody could be that vicious :-\
-
A sad and obviously illiterate individual who did not read let alone understand the written post.
"An open (unsealed) envelope containing a bank card FROM UK to Turkey not the other way round."
I hope the individual chokes on their Cornflakes.
or a saying of my dear grandfather:
May his b*lls fester and his c*ck drop off! (he was a very down to earth guy.. ;).)
-
well what a liberty he is the one who needs reporting to his superiors:-\
-
Didn't the one who is stirring up all this unneeded intrusion openly admit on here that he'd bought a new suitcase to take back plants from Turkey?
If I'm not mistaken he'd be in deep trouble with DEFRA - as this is totally illegal. He also admitted that he'd sold the plants at a very good profit to a garden centre & was going to bring back more the next time he went out.
Go on Scunner shop the b....d. A letter to his superiors would be a good way to start. Isn't he out there at the moment - a quick phone call to customs might hopefully land him where he deserves to be.

Probably more appropriate.

This is aimed directly at the 'snake in the grass', the low life', the gutter snipe', the 'killjoy', the 'sensation seeker', the nark', 'the devils advocate' and the 'apology for a human being' who would stoop so low as to make an issue out of something that was done honestly and openly, between friends on a public forum. I hope you can sleep at night, but of course you will won't you, because you are totally denude of any sense or feeling and you are most certainly without a conscience. You begger belief, you pitiful little creature!!
-
what an idiot, obviously too much time on his hands. Get a life!

I couldn't have put it better.
I guess 'they' will be waiting at the airport to pick me up then.....
I really thought the guy was on a wind up, but he obviously really is that sad......[xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(]

Total Wxxxker [:(!]
-
I'm not sure that plant pot was an appropriate name more like Toss pot:D. I'm not sure what the punishment is for Birthday card smuggling - any one have any ideas?
-
I am sure that he will be very happy with all the fuss that is being made. Wouldn't it be better to totally ignore him. We are all giving him what he wants.
-
Possibly, but I thought everyone might want to know :)
-
There really is no excuse for anyone to take such underhanded action. No way could he, she, or it, honestly construe anything other than a perfectly innocent transaction from what was stated on this forum. What they have suggested to be going on here is simply a figment of their own warped imagination, no doubt hoping they will reap the glory for busting what they see as a ring of contraband smugglers!!
I really think medical intervention is required, or even a section under the mental health act, this type of person is so obviously a danger to the public!!
I hope you are reading these posts you worm.
I'm sure you will be aware of IP numbers, they can be very useful!!

That would be true if this cretin had confined his opinions to this forum, however, they have decided to take matters further, with a potentially serious outcome for some perfectly innocent people, and the fact that they were fully aware of the situation and chose to insinuate something more sinister proves how dangerous this person can be. Scunner did the right thing, we all need to know just what we are dealing with here!!
-
I am so very very sorry if my request to bring a pair of leather gloves to turkey from the uk has caused all this trouble! I diddnt realise it was illegal to give a christmas present to your mum! But no seriously i am so so sorry if its caused anyone problems and if my asking for help may get people in trouble. sorry again!
-
See me after school Miss Crazychick.
Tinx ;)
-
Nothing to be sorry for Ms crazychick, you just encountered a prat.
Oops I don't mean Tinkerman (on this occasion) :)
-
Well good, i just hope it dont cause too many problems for anyone! All i wanted was for some xmas prezzies to be took over so they wouold get there in time for xmas!! Diddnt think thats was illegal!!! Let me know how things go ok. thankls everyone!! lozz x
-
:)Dont say I never told you, I predicted this in one of my earlier posts, sometimes you can accurately judge a person by their post and this time I was right, It was only a matter of time before something of this nature happened, just did'nt expect it so soon. I am so glad you told the forum members Scun, now we all know what we are dealing with, I live nearer to the plantpot than anyone and would'nt be surprised if my home got raided for some alleged criminal activity, I await with baited breath. At the time of this post Kenny is dismantling the counterfeit money machine. WHAT A KNOBHEAD.:P
-
Kenny a Knobhead?

Don't worry, if that piggin plod wants something to do, then lets give him something to do!!
Can someone please take a small unsealed package to Turkey for me before Christmas? If anyone can help please get in touch via my profile, thanks. 8)
Let's see what he can do when the whole damn forum wants an alternative to snail mail
-
:DNow now Tinx, Lets not detract from the fact that this p***k could and would make peoples lives a misery all because he has had his wrist slapped by decent people, if you note the time of his posting he was probably half shot and brooding over being bought down on his previous post and decided to go on his computer and get revenge, but its come back and hit him in the face again. If we see a dubious new member on Friday evening its him in disguise, be sure he will be back .(fortune teller extrordanaire, Laffa) ;)
-
Cannot add to what's already be said. I only regret that I'm not computer-literate enough to send this edgit the most destructive virus that was ever invent.
Perhaps we could stick a red-hot poker up his backside, cold end first - so the burns his greasy palm pulling it out.
-
Not much I can add here other than I hope someone points him out when I'm next in Calis. Mind you I'll probably just have to look under the biggest stone.
-
What a silly man - it wouldn't take much for a simillarly mean spirited individual on this or any other forum to have read the goings on of this sick individual and communicated them to a very senior Police Officer on the same squad. A member of their confidential crack team has been spouting off about crimes that they are involved in on a public forum for all to see. what an embarrasement to the force. What would the punishment be for such a person seen to be breaking confidentiality? Anyone mean spirited enough?: :)
-
only him.

I live in a very small town with the nearest place more than ten miles away. We have our very own little Police station, years ago, we had an absolute ***hole for a Police Sergeant, he booked everything and everybody for anything at all, just collecting brownie points of course, well, a few of the local blokes took the law into their own hands, gave him a bloody good talking to then threw him in the river!!! He said and did absolutely nothing about it, next thing he'd been transfered!! I'm not recomending this course of action, you understand, but it's bloody tempting!!! :D
-
Crazychick - I'm still more than happy to be your 'runner' - just email us and we will sort things out for you. PC Plantpot - look forward to seeing you at the airport....rubber gloves and all.... you complete and utter pillock. (Filters would alter what I really want to put....)[xx(]
-
Go for you Pookie.
-
If someone asks you to take something on a flight for you. Where is the problem providing it is not an illegal substance.
-
Come on Heather, don't be so naive - it's gloves we are talking about here.
Turn a blind eye to glove smuggling and before you know it they'll have moved on to harder illicit activities, like hats!
-
Thankyou for all your help everyone but i have sorted my problem! my mum will have her gloves in time for xmas!! Im sorry if i caused any probs! Next time i will give her xmas prezzie late! Thanks everyone!
-
Duh Sorry Scunner:P
Ok I have checked security advice form BA.
Please note the underlined and bolded bit does not say don,t do it it says BE nosy and check the contents.
Do not carry packages with unidentified contents on behalf of other people. If asked to do so, contact the local police, customs or member of staff immediately.
Damaged, delayed and lost baggage
I rest my case:D: :):P
-
I agree with Heather's findings. I returned to Turkey on Dec 3rd after a very short visit to UK. If I had seen the initial posting asking for help, I would have offered to bring the item out but would have satisfied myself that it was proper and kept it available for inspection if required. Security is important but should not prevent poeple doing favours for each other.
Pete

I think Keith summed it up perfectly in the title of this thread.
So sick, so sad.
May you rot in hell, you lowlife!
-

8) Another one 'Hoisted by his own Petard' :P What goes around, comes around : :)
-
:)Well Lindy, how apt was the Plantpot naming. ;) I wonder who he sold them to. ;)
-
Let's enjoy that thread again, in the light of comments about taking things in and out of the Country.
Most amusing to see someone who claims to be a policeman, ask if something is legal - especially when the answer is no and you can end up in jail for up to 7 years :D
Here it is: http://calis-beach.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=18173
-
:D7 years, and what about the attempted conspiring, that must carry a 5 surely, I hope none of our members e.mailed him to join his venture, Just see the headlines now PC PLANTPOT IN PLANT SMUGGLING.
I am still wondering who he will come back to the forum as,what will his new user name be, PLOD ON. ;)
-
I don't think he was a policeman- I think he works in admin - doing a bit of filing. Ideas of grandeur me thinks. But still there it is in black and white that Neil Carey is a plant smuggler. Breaking the law without even knowing if the plants are allowed in the county. I am pretty sure on the other hand ( no pun intended) that gloves (leather or wool) are not on any band list and will not result in a request from customs to show yur chocoloate starfish :-\ :-\
-
Actually, for the record, nobody on CBF has ever mentioned taking, or asked for someone to take, anything illegal between the UK and Turkey.
Apart from the guy with the plant cuttings - how ironic is that? :D
-
Admin GB - come on! He's at most a janitor.
If he is a policeman - then God help the police force in Liverpool - let's hope they find out about his smuggling & lock him away for the 7 years. The place would be so much safer without that loser on the loose.
-
The Liverpool case reference is also odd - he is nowhere near Liverpool according to CBF data [?]
-
I brought some papers out for a forum member earlier in the year, I opened the envelope to make sure they were what they were suposed to be and put them in my hand luggage. When I dropped them in Marias I think it was one of those rare occasions that Keith was sitting at the bar and a comment was made about dodgy substances:D however I see no problem with doing a favour. I was asked to bring a package back from the Carribean and post it though that one I refused :o
-
Rare only in the fact that I was sitting at the bar Glenn, I normally fall off my stool :D
I did ask if the bar stools met ISO or BS standards, but Maria and Tracey just laughed at me ;)
They don't take health & safety as seriously as you good UK folks.
-
As in all walks of life there are good cops and bad cops and occasionally
officious small minded cretins. Thank god they are few and far between.
May he rot in hell.
-
