Title: When to pay solicitors fees
Post by: maclarke1 on October 14, 2009, 11:04:21 AM: Hi, hope someone can help, we have just started the process of buying an apartment in Calis - is it standard practise to pay the solicitor his fees up front. Not sure how it works in Turkey comopared to the UK. Thanks

Post by: peecee on October 14, 2009, 11:35:45 AM: I think it is or at least a 'retainer fee' (same as UK) If you are buying for the first time then would seriously suggest you don't use the same lawyer that the seller uses (like I did, DUH!) If you don't have a lawyer ask around, some good, some bad.
