Thank's David, the fact that you don't recognise Vilage Ovacik may prove a point. " What have we done" on The road now named Ovacik Caddesi, wasn't too bad even in 2002 no ashphalt so "fun" to drive on. The photo was take from about 4/500 mtrs towards Fethiye from what is now the Solo Restaurant.

Always had a dream we'd buy a large polt of land 'out Ovacik way' and build a villa and have lots of land and views round it. Nowadays you couldnt fit a portacabin between buildings

Hi Val, We love our place in Ovacik the views are just as good now as they were eight years ago. Lots of land lots of work? Its never too late lots of resales in excellent condition at good prices with the old size gardens 6/7/800sq mtrs with fantastic views and some wonderful Turkish neighbours. Two for sale near by and you can bring all the portacabins you want subject to planning?? Hoping you may reconsider and have another look. Best wishes

Yes I agree. Love Ovacik, views are still the same, still have the fields of cows and goats....just better facilities and more choice of places to eat within walking distance...oh, and no rowdy discos!

The thing I regret most is not buying the 10,000m2 in Ovacik that was offered to me for 7500 GBP in 2001.I would be a millionaire now. Unfortunately foreigners were not allowed to purchase then I was offered the usual I will hold it in my name for you.
