Lovely pics. It will be a great shame if the boatyard is relocated to Yaniklar. Completely off subject, but is the lady in the blue top named Charlotte? If not, she is a dead ringer for somebody I went to school with.

No Marggie that is my lovely wife Carole

Hi very nice pics, can you tell me how you get the pics that size on the post please. Don't get to technical as I struggle with my laptop and the terminology.

Nice pics, lovely to look at, but still do not miss Turkey one iota !! We had almost 6 years there, lots of good times, one REALLY bad memory, which brings all into perspective, glad to be back in the U.K.
-
Tnks for the pics :D :D
-
Great pictures cheered my day up. Thanks :D
-
As I pull on my waders, mac, waterproof trousers, preparing to " swim" the dog, your pictures made me realise that some people are having some sunshine!! Thanks for them. :)
-
Well personally, I don't think people should be allowed to post such pictures.......no consideration some people........ ;)
-
Wish we would be there!
Fabulous photos pookie. You warmed our cold day. Thanks!
-
Oops! I mixed the names. :(
The complimen goes to karaokemark of course.
-
I'm amazed that its still warm enough for tshirts! I am very envious indeed. :)
-
It is some days Toky but indoors at the moment I've got 3 layers of clothes on and need the fire on.
But the days are getting longer so the house stays warmer a bit longer.

Where exactly is Yaniklar in relation to Calis? Is it a walkable distance. The pics look beautiful. 8)
-
Yaniklar is on the coast around 15 minutes closer to Dalaman than Calis/Fethiye - you'll have passed the Yaniklar signs every time you have had an airport transfer. I suppose it is walkable from Calis, I wouldn't try though :)
-
We've walked it a couple of times, takes around 3 hours at a leisurely pace along the beach.
-
We have made it to the forest, Kargi or Ciflik (?) - along the beach as far as you can go past the restaurant. We thought that was as far as you can go. Is it far past there, and do you have to skirt around the forest, staying close to the sea. There were several streams in the way, as far as we could see. ;D
-
There is a small river, take beach shoes or take shoes off and brave the pebbles. Just keep walking by the sea.
It is still quite a way from where you mean. Probably just over half way.
Nothing when you get there, turn right just after tuana and walk up to main road for dolmus back to calis.
In summer dolmus goes down to Tuana.

Sorry typing in car... Didn't mean to quote and send again!
-
Thanks Kayakebab, quite a walk then! ;)

we did it last year after Ciflik market. and just kept walking. We were really fed up by the time we got to Tuana that we were not allowed on the beach or to get a drink, so we got on the dolmus back to Fethiye, and as it did it's loop we saw somewhere open to the riff raff like us. I loved the walk by the river but don't know that I would do it too often.
