My implant cost £3000, 4 years ago. I was going to go abroad and have it done in Hungary for less than £1000. I spoke to my dentist and said if that's what I preferred to do then to go ahead, however, he would point blank refuse to treat or examine that tooth ever in the future. As it was a front tooth, I settled to have it done here in the UK, just in case anything went wrong. I call it Blackmail!!!!!

I think the best thing to do is get the work done abroad and then if necessary visit your Dentist in the U.K.  We are both registered with a U.K. Dentist but never tell them what we are getting done abroad.  Also we have a few private Dentists around our area that will just take you on for treatment wherever you have been before.
My daughter visited a private Dentist locally when she could not get an appointment with her normal NHS Dentist and was treated with no questions.  ;)

Yes indeed Puma - when Mrs Scunner shared with him her great fear of the dentist's drill, far from comfort her he replied "Oh, I love that sound - when I hear it, I know I am making money". Once again, I recommend Cagatay.

Yes, and Cagatay will always give you the price up front and when we paid cash we asked for a discount and got it. ;)

That's another point - if you mention you found Cagatay on the Calis Beach Forum, he will give you a genuine discount.

Thank you all for replying. I'm very grateful. I will certainly be contacting Cagatay. As i'm only over for two weeks soon i wonder if he could fit a bridge in that short amount of time. I will e-mail him for more information. Thanks once again
