The British Embassy in Turkey Community Meeting

I think it was unfortunate for them that so many people turned up, they went to great lengths to explain that they had booked the venue based on a number of previous attendances and they promised to book a bigger venue for the next time they have a meeting.

Phil, driving was covered, basically, you don't need to get a Turkish driving licence, if you are resident for a year or more then you should get your English licence translated and notorised. Some people said that insurance companies were insisting you had a Turkish licence, he said its not the law and that's a matter between you and the company.

If your on holiday and hire a car, a UK licence is fine.
