Clocks Spring Forwards
« on: February 16, 2014, 12:53:06 PM »
Apparently the date of the change to daylight saving time has been postponed in Turkey by one day from the 30th March to the 31st March. This, according to a poster on Trip Advisor, is because of the Municipality Elections taking place on the 30th throughout Turkey.

It's well worth checking this if you have journeys booked during this time, although I haven't seen it mentioned yet on any other 'Turkey related' sites.

They did the same last year (I think) because of school / university exams.

Yes, they did a couple of years ago, but nobody bothered to tell the UK airlines, so they arrived / departed as if the clocks had changed in Turkey, so it was a bit of a rush through the airport for yours truly!
