Unless it's improved over the years Göçek market is very, very small, it took us longer to find it than to walk around it, Çaliş market is much better. The boat trip was nice though.

Glad you told us that LeeGlo.

i thought Hisaronu market was small - 4 stalls - but I have it on excellent authority that it will be bigger now the season is starting to take shape. I'll be there to check tomorrow, to buy my salad stuff  :)

I think most people get the boat to the market at Gocek, just for the boat trip as the market is very small.  When we first went to Gocek we were in the town and could not find the market, it's out by the harbour and was a total disappointment to us, although Gocek is a lovely town, we still have a run down there but have not bothered with the market again. We have tried most of the markets in the area and found Calis the best.  It's not too big, has a great fruit, veg and plant section. We have bought some great plant there.  Plus we like our breakfast at Savas's pancake stall.
In the season Hisaronu Market has lots of lots of stall, but more clothes and souvenirs that fruit and veg.

I prefer Patlangic or Karacuhla markets to the rest. You don't get anywhere near as much "Yes please, yes please", "Cheaper than shoplifting", "Cheap as Aldi / Lidl/ Asda etc". It all gets a bit boring after a while.  In Karacuhla though you need to be prepared to be stared at more as they don't get such a high volume of yabancis shopping there.
