Electricity tariffs
« on: October 23, 2014, 16:33:43 PM »

I'm sure this has been answered before but I cant find it, can anyone tell me the times for the 3 different tariffs, in other words what time is classed as the cheap nighttime tariff. I've had a bill that was higher than I expected and I think I will start running my dishwasher and washing machine at night when its cheaper.

Hi Susiepink
I have copied & pasted below from an old post by user Loz.
I am certain the unit rate would be different now but it's possible the timed zone rates will help somewhat.

Electricity 7am - 5pm kw/h 0.14YTL = approx 6p Per unit
Electricity 5pm - 10pm kw/h 0.22YTL =approx 9p Per unit
Electricity 10pm - 7am kw/h 0.08YTL =approx 3p Per unit

Dave.

You also can change between 3 different tariffs and single tariff twice a calender year. So you can change e.g. according to your summer / winter  needs.

Susie, here is a link to a previous  topic.

If you look on your most recent bill you will be able to see how much you are being charged.  About half way down it shows the times for the three different tariffs.  In our case all tariffs are the same ie. 0.240979.  So in our case there would be no benefit in running the washing machine and dishwasher after 10.00 pm.

We also calculated how much a bill would have been had we been on three different rates.  The result would have been a larger bill.

Electric went up again on October 1st.
The 3 tariffs are now,

2/0.40
3/0.12

According to AYDEM webpage , the 3 tariffs are calculated based on following percentages :

1 )  6 am - 5 pm :  -    6%

2 ) 5 pm - 10 pm : + 49 %

3 ) 10 pm - 6 am : - 45 %

is % differences based upon the price of 25.9251kr/KW-HR (all hours tariff) shown on the October Bills?  Which would work out to:

06:00-17:00 24.3696KR
17:00-22:00 38.6284
22:00-0:00 14.2588

If it is then the rate is (slightly) different from the actual rates shown In Yabanci's post?

I wish these storms would stop, then I wouldn't find the time to do this sort of calculation!!
