Winter Car Hire
« on: November 06, 2014, 12:02:06 PM »
Still pondering our winter transport options........

We're thinking of getting a hire car and have heard people mention before that good deals are available for long-term rentals.

Just wondered if anyone who has done this had any guidance on price so I know roughly what to expect? We'd be looking at a three or four month hire period.

Ta. :-)

Suggest you contact Erkan Guven @ Mastercarrental who should be helpful. Tel . 252 692 4477 and email is mastercarrental.co.uk  . If he can't oblige he will know someone who can. Office is on the Fethiye road out of Dalaman near the Total petrol station. Happy hunting!

I advise you to try  Fethiye Lovers (a local company) who are in Calis on the main B.M. road.  They will give you a quote.  We have used them for about 7 years now.  When we came over in October we paid less to hire our car than we did in June.

For the last two years we have had a car for six months from Pegasus for £300 per month. This year we have a new Renault Symbol. We collected at the airport and all went very smoothly. We did shop around and Fethiye Lovers offered a three year old car for £275.

We hired a brand new car from Pegasus which we picked up at their Dalaman office... 22nd September to 20th October. 280 pounds.so 70 pounds a week... Good price we thought.. Also saved the transfer price from the airport.. They picked us up at the airport and then returned us there on our return home...

We usually get a brand new car from Fethiye Lovers.  However, if they did give us an older car, say 3 years old, we would not worry, the service they provide is impeccable.

Wouldn't recommend Ferhiye Lovers, the car we haired in July was a complete plonker and broke down after a few days

You shouldn't go around hairing other people's cars!!

We had an out of season car from Pegasus a couple of years back - a very nice VW Cargo/Kargo whatever it is - excellent price and better car than I would have thought.

We always use Pegasus and never been disappointed. This time we asked for an automatic in late October, which was £120 for 9 days. Lovely car.
