The Auction Results
« on: June 09, 2016, 22:41:33 PM »
Over the last 2 weeks (1st & 8th June) the Çalış Children's Charity (3C's) have held their annual promises Auctions at the Nil Bar & Bambu Restaurant
We had two fantastic evenings with our auctioneers Richard Dumayne & Ian Kismet auctioning nearly 150 promises including, sunglasses, watches, antique jewellery, meals in restaurants, tattoos, hotel rooms, chocolate and much much more.
Over the two nights the 3Cis charity raised approximately 14,000 TL, this all goes to help the children in Fethiye and the surrounding areas. It enables us to supply schools with much needed equipment and also support individual children who have hearing or dental problems. The 3C's also fund 15 university bursaries for Fethiye students and also help fund a special needs teacher in a school in Fethiye and many more things for the children
The 3C's Committee are very proud of what we are able to do to support and enable these children and would like to thank everybody for your continued support. Both nights were a huge success and the 3C's would like to thank everybody who attended and to all those individual and businesses who kindly donated promises to the charity without whom this would not be able to happen. Also a big thank you to Fidan at Bambu restaurant and Angel at Nil Bar who helped us host the auctions.

Thats a fantastic amount raised, considering the economic climate and lack of visitors.  It will go a long way to help our local disadvantaged kids.

The 3C's Committee have every right to be extremely proud of what they do.

The equivalent of £ 3,500 is a massive total and just reward for yet another huge amount of work.

Very well done to all involved.   :)

Well done everyone at the 3C's, Pete and I are extremely pleased and proud of what you have achieved over the two auctions. We both know how much hard work goes into this event, what with the foot slogging getting promises for weeks before and then all of the  background admin work and updating the lists. Most people only see the work on the night which again is hard work - but what a result given the present downturn in tourism. A huge congratulations to the committee and volunteers and to everyone who pledged promises or supported on the 2 nights.

Huge congratulations and a special thank you to all of you directly involved in 3Cs.
Thank you for working so very hard on our behalf for the good of the local children.
I know how much it must consume your lives and it's a huge commitment.

Thank you.
