I ordered chicken shish and English menu 20TL, Turkish menu 18TL. The guy charged us Turkish menu price. Mother-in-law ordered fish 16TL and English menu 18TL. Hubby and father-in-law ordered pide 9TL but on Wednesday hubby charged 10TL as i ordered from English menu. My hubby suggested everyone who goes there order from Turkish menu, that'll teach them  :D

Yes, Mulberry Tree, English owned and giving the Apple Cafe a hard time because they opened next door. Been in haranging any customers who used to go to them and dare to be in next door at the Apple.  Also falling out with local shops who are now going to the Apple for lunch and sandwiches, which they will deliver.
I hated to hear this, as they are lovely people in the Apple, a very nice Turkish Family.  They get our business now.

Most likely not the only ones but I can't imagine there are too many British owned places overcharging their own.

Was the  Turkish menu products, exactly the same as the British menu?
lots of expats eat there, and the food is very good and never heard any complaints
and the owners are lovely people.

If you are just raising the price from 18TL to 20TL that seems very restrained. Hilary and I were in a restaurant for morning coffee. The only other customers were three Turks on a nearby table having breakfast. When the time came to pay up we were given the wrong bill. The one they gave us was for "Kavalti x 3" which was the same price for three breakfasts as the English menu quoted for two! Now that is yabanci pricing! We were planning to go there for dinner. They missed out on that.

Yes the staff were very friendly davybill and the food lovely,  hence why we returned 2dys later. But as my hubby is Turkish and speaks very good English,  he was able to point this out about the menu. We were charged 2 different prices on separate days for the same meal my hubby ordered. One being from Turkish menu & one being from English menu. When we compared the two menus they were priced different.
