Our 2017 Review
« on: September 23, 2017, 20:08:55 PM »
Just for a change and hopefully for a bit of fun.......

There are 5 words hidden in this Word Search which relates to our recent visit.

When (hopefully not if) someone finds one of the words I will post how it related to our holiday.

PS I have copied and pasted the Word Search but it hasn't lined up perfectly which makes finding the words a little difficult. If anyone can remedy this please let me know

Well spotted bewva.....

Contacted Land of Lights ahead of the presentation to Stuart MacDonald. Was not given the courtesy of a reply.  :)

Very good karennina - I hadn't thought of that.

Outboard flight was fine. We decided on Priority Check-In at the airport.

Great we thought - checked in without queuing, boarded first (another story), cases first off at Dalaman

Unfortunately Priority was lost in translation and our cases did not appear first - no real surprise I suppose. However when they did arrive the fact that they had a "Priority" tag on them did rankle a tad.   :)

Did you actually think Priority Check in at the departure airport would include priority bag appearance at the destination one? :D

Correct Gary-0:

Now this might just be me but it was late, it was hot with no aircon and we had already been inconvenienced (More to come on that score).

Anyway with only approximately 10 minutes to take off time. two girls at the boarding desks eventually called people forward.

We were at the head of one queue just behind a disabled person with 3 others. The girl who was boarding them then wheeled the disabled person out to the wheelchair lift. Fair enough I thought but there were 3 able-bodied passengers accompanying her and there were lift attendants present.

The girl then waited while three wheelchair users disembarked from the lift and then proceeded to accompany the wheelchair user on to and up in the lift before coming back down.

All the while there was chaos at the boarding desks with two queues unceremoniously merging into one.

Now I am all for assistance being given to wheelchair users - after all the present Mrs H was one two years ago. But leave it to the appropriate airport staff.
